Teaching Style

My teaching goal is centered on helping students achieve technical excellence and artistic development. I help students focus on playing and singing with clear musical intonation, learning to control the touch and production of each note.

I emphasize the importance of sight reading and musicianship. I try to encourage my students to pursue challenge, and to expand their technical skills.

I encourage students to listen to the music they play, and help them understand the musical elements and context of every piece they learn.

Above all, I encourage my students to appreciate and enjoy the music they play.
